Two Professors of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta are included in the list of the Top 100 Indonesian Scientists in the Field of Law based on the assessment of the AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index) 2022. Both are Prof. Dr. Aidul Fitriciada Azhari, S.H., M.H in the field of Constitutional Law and Prof. Khhudzaifah Dimyati, S.H., M.Hum in Legal Theory. The assessment is made based on the productivity and effectiveness of the researchers’ work in the last five years. A number of indicators presented in this ranking include the h-index, i10 index, and citation. The AD Scientific Index is an analysis and ranking system based on scientific performance produced by researchers. Based on information released by the AD Scientific Index regarding the Top 100 Scientists 2022, it is known that Prof. Aidul Fitriciada has an H-index: 11 with an i10 index: 11 and a citation: 399. Meanwhile, Prof. Khudzaifah Dimyati has an H-index: 11 with an i10 index: 10 and a citation: 1372.
A researcher is required to publish the results of his research both in books and scientific articles in reputable journals both nationally and internationally. Thoughts published and quoted by other researchers will increase the researcher’s index which will be an indicator of the quality of research results. Patents produced by researchers are also an indicator of assessment. The indicator can be reviewed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Publons, Google Scholar and other science pages. The publication value of each of these sources is different. Having many publications and being quoted by other researchers indicates that a researcher is productive and his research results provide solutions to problems that exist in society.
