Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held a combined offline and online graduation for Periods II and III of the 2020/2021 Academic Year, which was attended by 2,911 participants. They are divided into two days of implementation, namely Tuesday – Wednesday (6-7/4/2021), where each day is further divided into two sessions.
The committee divided the number of graduates into four sessions because they had to adjust the number in the building as required in the Covid-19 prevention health protocol.
The graduation ceremony which took place at the UMS Edutorium this time was attended by 1,210 graduates who took part online and 1,701 graduates offline. Participants are scheduled for the morning and afternoon sessions.
Dr. Triyono SE, M.Si as the Chair of the Committee explained that in each session there were approximately 380 to 400 graduation participants. “Approximately 400 participants. But it cannot be divided equally, yes, there is a difference of 380, there are 400, because it is according to the participants,” he said.
The graduation procession which was carried out using the Covid-19 Health Protocol also went smoothly without any obstacles. “The graduation ceremony is carried out with very strict health protocols. All offline graduation participants and the committee involved have passed the antigen swab test,” said Triyono.
Especially for those who follow offline, said Triyono, there are indeed very strict requirements. “What is clear is that health protocols have been tightened, all graduation participants, the committee involved have all been swabbed for antigens. Thank God everything is negative,” said Triyono.
UMS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, M.Si gave a message to graduates not to hesitate to come to campus after graduation to attend events or meet lecturers on campus. “Don’t hesitate to come to campus to take part in events or meet lecturers on campus,” said Softan Anif.
Sofyan Anif said that UMS was still very open in accepting inputs in the context of developing the campus in the future. “UMS is still very open to receiving input in the context of developing the university in the future,” said Sofyan Anif
