International Short Course 2026: Law, Politics, and Governance in the Algorithmic Age

The Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) proudly presents the International Short Course 2026 with the theme “Law, Politics, and Governance in the Algorithmic Age.” This course is designed as an interdisciplinary forum to discuss contemporary legal, political, and governance issues amid rapid technological change.

The 2023 International Short Course was held according to a previously determined schedule, with presenters coming from various countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Saudi Arabia, North Macedonia and Australia.
This year’s participants came from various countries. Apart from Indonesia, 87 participants came from: Bangladesh (19), Brunei Darussalam (8), India (4), Myanmar (1), Sri Lanka (9), Taiwan (2), Thailand (9), Turkey (1) , United Kingdom (1), and Vietnam (33).
